So I put a new water pump in my truck. I flush everything put a new thermostat in. Now my temp gauge is running on the o to r. Before it was running at the n. The thermostat I put in is a 195 to 200*. Would the the new thermostat make it run warmer? Or do I have a bad thermostat?

Maybe your old t stat was just old and worn out? Or stuck open.

It's been around four days I would think the air would be out by now

Stuck open is about the most common thermostat failure. Your truck was probably running too cool before. It might also have been a lower open-point thermostat. It'll be interesting to see if your mileage goes up any.
