I am looking at buying a fully loaded 04 F350 Lariat that my cousin has just got at the car sale (he owns a used car lot) the truck has 80k miles in super shape,and the price is, well, very good , the prolbem is the truck will start and run like normal, but after driving ,it won't start when hot. . any ideas on what it may be?

is that a costly fix? I'm not sure if there is any warranty available on the truck. what do i need to look for ? a oil leak.

Does the engine spin over when it won't start?

yes it will turn over but will not start.

not only that dude 100k on the Engine ask the dealer will that be under the warranty.

there isn't any dealer support, I've talked to thier diesel tech, and well i wasn't impressed . I told him i'd rather try to diaginos the prolbem myself and then let them fix it, they had it for 3 days, and all they did was replace the filters and the batteries. :shrug:

I think we got it fixed yesterday, i looked the engine over for oil leaks and a few other things to no avail , but decided to check the fuel filter again . well i found out that the fuel filter wasn't seated properly and was allowing air in the system , when i returned from the test drive everything was fine , a guy came in about 20 mins laters and wanted to buy the truck , So i told my cousin to sell it , that i perferred a 06 -07 and if he found me one to let me know.
