I think i am going to make the race truck 4wd for now, i dont have the knowledge to fourlink it and i want this to be a project i build on my own.

should i cut the frame and have a driveshaft made for a reg cab short bed 4wd, or because it will have a transfer case will that make the shaft too short and i need to keep it a long bed?

Keep it low, keep it 4wd. I don't know how much you'd gain by cutting it down to a 6' bed, but if that's the look you're looking for then go for it.

Excursion Springs up front and remove the block in the rear. Making a short bed reg cab 4x4 race truck may create a wild ride when you get up in the hp with a short wheel base. But I may be wrong and either way it would be cool.

There isnt a block in the rear, just the flat peice welded to the axle.

I am hoping the 4x4 keeps it safer, i think 800+ hp in a reg cab short bed 2wd will get a little wildd
