My 05 needs new batteries, I sell batteries at my shop and can get some that have 1040 cranking amps and 880 cold cranking amps. Is there any problems with getting a higer cranking amp battery. I do this on my gas cars but wanting to check on the diesel. Thanks

absolutely-- go for it. If youre in the battery biz, you know--CCA ratings get thrown around more than Ford vs Chevy HP figures did in the 70s. There's lots of ways to get a test to give a desired performance value. Batts are not created equal and I've learned more about batteries than I care to. I have (East Penn) Deka brand in everything I own, from 8Ds (in the RV) to the baby 9 in my Zuma scooter. The batts in the 94 have somewhere north of 1000 CA @ 32F and they do work everyday.
