I'm trying to get my Torque App setup how I want it and I'm having trouble creating the Delta gauge. Here's the equation I found to use:

When I go to save I get an error message:

"Invalid mode/PID or PID not set (example PID:`01 0D`), not 0x01 0x0d or 010DH"

Any ideas? I downloaded the ford PID's when I intalled the app and I've got several gauges including engine oil temp, coolant temp, FMP, Trans Fluid, and Volts working

Custom PID here is the info:

i only see one difference in your set up vs a known working one

Short Name: Delta T
Min: -30.0
Max: 30.0
Scale: x1
Unit: degF
Equation: (([221310]*1.8)+32)-(([05]*1.8)+32)

I've never had luck doing what you're trying for. I suppose you could go over to the Torque forums and seek helps there. I bet they would have better advice than we would. Personally, I just put the EOT and ECT gauges next to each other and do the math in my head.

yeah, it's looking like that's what I'm going to have to do. I tried it on a brand new device with a fresh install of everything and the exact same thing happens

I did a search online and found an individual who had the parameters to get the delta number. It worked first time for me. I have it between the eot and ect. It does make it way easier than adding or subtracting as I'm texting and watching a DVD.
