Need Help 6.0

I have an 03 with 135xxx went into limp mode a few weeks ago went to shop and was told it needed 6 new injectors. Has anyone heard of that. I had an EGR code come up so i pulled that and all seemed to be working fine. Could the EGR modual be bad is there a way to check that? Also when i put the egr back in i had full power for about 5 minuets then right back into limp mode. Any help would be great.

I feel like I'm stuck on repeat.....

Codes...need to have codes pulled to effectively diagnose an issue with these trucks. Period! And not by Autozone or the likes. Needs to be with a quality scanner.
