i ordered the kit parts only last friday this time because i had the tools that come with the kit from my buds truck, we did it a while ago. I took it apart this weekend and pulled all the injectors to have them ready. I took me 5 hrs to pull them apart and put them back together, then in the truck. So i would say the truck was down for 3-days.

Call jim at rosewood diesel, he is THE MAN!!!!! Also i would think about loosing the 1.0 housing.;)
I would have to disagree on the 1.0 housing. I changed mine to a 1.0 after the stage 1's and I wouldn't go back to the stock housing for anything.

If you are going to be doing a bunch of hot rodding and racing then yeah maybe the stock 1.15 would be better. But if you are driving around using it like a truck then you will like the 1.0 better JMO

One thing you might consider is to go to the stg2 at least. Once you get the 1's you're gonna wish you had more HP. Plus with 2's and supporting mods you should net 400hp. Just something to consider. Good luck.

my truck was down for 2 days, just because i took my time and went through each injector twice. there are pics in my webshots of the injectors all taken apart, might help you get an idea of what all is involved. Jim's DIY kit is great, well worth the money spent IMO.

I have just recieved my 160cc w/ larger nozzles Single shot kit from Jim Rose as DIY, the kit looks AWESOME! I have a few questions for those who have done the DIY kits. My main concern with doing the kit is having to machine certain parts to make up for poor injector clearences (armature). My truck has 140k miles on it and it runs awesome now with the stock injectors, do you guys think I'll need to do additional machining once I build the injectors with the DIY kit? If so, what are your experiences with doing the machining? Overall, how do you guys think my install will go?

Thanks a bunch for your help,
Jake.

Ok great to hear that from you. When I first initially pull the injectors out with all the stock components installed, is that the time at which I make my measurements and claculations to see if they are within spec?, or do I do the measuring and calculating once I have installed the new parts I got from Jim Rose in the DIY kit?
