Do you actually have an injector issue or possibly a wiring issue?

So why not get your injectors rebuilt and move on? Be proactive about it instead of reactive..

Well..
If you must know...

They were rebuilt...about 12,000 miles ago..
Talked to the rebuilder and they Said if I can nail down what injector and if it is an injector..
They will send me another out right away..

In the mean time I dont want to be stuck if it acts up again..
I have a few trips planned.

everything was new 12,000 miles ago.
IPR,HPOP, VC Gaskets,UVC wiring
IDM Modded
Injectors
Motor Rebuilt.

Had a miss..
Once I ran a contrabution test ..
Miss went away
Also showed cyl 1 and 2 as a problem..
Happened 2 times..
Hasent happened since..

Thinking that a poppet might be sticking .. when the cont. test is done it kinda works it loose...

Assuming you got them done by a reputable shop... Take them out, send the injectors to them to get flow tested... I'm just saying there is easier ways to handle this issue rather than sticking some extra injectors behind the back seat and waiting for one to have an issue and be swapping injectors in the middle of a trip...

Well Said. Pull them all and have them checked. Not worth the risk of being on the side of the road putting people lives at risk, doing damage to your truck, and giving psds a bad name being broke down doing injectors in a walmart parking lot.

That would be a great idea in a perfict world..

I dont have an extra vehicle to use while they would be out..

Also told that if it isnt a problem all the time it, I have to determine which one it is when it is doing it..

I have a ton of $$ in the truck and the last thing I would want to be is on the side of the road working on it..

Actually if you really want to help...
You could loan me a set of injectors to use and I could send mine out.. LOL....

Im just saying what I would do. Instead your going to continue on with a problem and not fix it until it causes you a bigger problem and possibly more headache down the road. Must not be thru a reputable injector builder if they are telling you this. I know if I had a problem, I would send them into full force to get checked out before I had a problem.... Best of luck when chit goes wrong...

I would also do the same if I had a 2nd vehicle right now..

Very reputable Builder..
I sure they would be more than happy checking them out if I could send them..

Just cant be with out a vehicle..

I appricate the advice..
Just looking for a a few injectore not a big debate..

A burnt up piston will leave you without a vehicle.

Don't take offense. We are just trying to help cause we have had issues like this ourselves.

Not Offended,,
Just dont have the funds to buy another set,,
And dont have an xtra vehicle..
Kinda stuck..

I am aware of the consaquences, Thats why I am looking for a xtra injector.

Figured if I get stuck, I could just swap it out so I dont do any damage..
Then send the bad one back to the builder..

If I new which one it would be I would just get another and fix it..

Just kinda feel like Im against the wall and everyone is telling me what I should do but cant..

Thanks
John

I see where your coming from.

Have you put a scanner on it yet?

I would just start with that and do a buzz test. Would suck changing out all the injectors and its not the issue.

Buzz test came back all good every time..
Contribution test came back ok all but 1 time said cyl 1 and cyl 2..
So seing that they are on oposite sides I am assuming its isnt the UVC wiring..

Told by rebuilder it could be a poppet and to run the test again when it is misssing..

Havent missed since..
Took it on a 500 mile trip last Sat. and didnt skip a beat..
