The bottom of my oil pan/bell housing cover always has a decent layer of film on it. Enough to where it can drip from my drain plug. It's gotten worse lately.

My turbo pedistal orings are bad but that certainly couldn't cause that much oil could it? My truck goes from the the full mark to the last mark on the dip stick in about the time in between oil changes. Any thoughts?

glad u posted this. i recently had the same issue. check the nut on the side of the oil pan. if lose tighten it scrub down to the metal on the pan and use some high temp silicone. yes ur pedistal orings can make u lose that much oil. im in the process of fixing mine right now. it may be a little tougher for u cuz u have the late model 99 i have the early99. im off all week if u want to drop by and try to fix it. right now im tryin to get the turbo off.
