I was surveying my new ride yesterday, and when I was under the front of the truck, I noticed 2 small steel tabs welded to the front of the frame. Just aft of the front leaf spring hangers. One tab on each side, about 4 inches long by two wide with two 3/8 inch holes in them.
Any body know what they are for? Used during factory assembly maybe?

Stock 2wd sway bar mounts. (For the bar not the links)
They used the same frame for everything.

Left over snow plow brackets? I bought mine and then discovered that someone went out of thier way to hide the fact it pushed snow. I was pissed as you can imagine, told the dealer I bought it from and his only remark was we looked it over and never saw any thing that showed that it was used for plowing snow. Need less to say I will never buy anything from that dealer again.
