Hey guys, picked up a JL Audio 6.5 set for cheap the other day for my truck. I was hoping some of you could share how you mounted the mid and tweeter in the front door . . .

Really just looking for an idea that may work. Thanks

Ended up cutting a bit out of the 6x8" opening to fit the 6.5 driver and tweeter in there. Sounds great!

Here is a easy way to mount the 6.5s. Pull your factory 5x7s. Get a small piece of 1/4 MDF or plywood. Trace the outline of the 5x7 speaker on the plywood. Cut out the center the size your 6.5s need to fit. Drill holes where the mounting holes in the 5x7 are in the plywood. Paint both sides flat black & mount your home made baffles in your doors
