Well as much as it pains me to say this... A great big thumbs up to David at DI. Got the new block last week, and when they unwrapped it, there was a small, what I can only call a dent, at the top of the bore on #2:doh:. It was just about the edge of the fire ring on the head gasket.

Builder (my guy) said it might be ok, might not... So I called David (again this was last Friday "party day") and he said he would call on Monday about it. Called me back on Tuesday and the motor builder is going to ship a new one and the old one is going back.

I still wouldnt buy a Garrett turbo from him....but maybe another motor...

I am hoping David can get them to paint the block Green or some other color then black... sent the oil pan and valve covers off to get shot "what ever color you pic" is what I told the paint shop.

Just good green tractors that will out pull any red pinto. The new 9630 with out pull the stx 535 Just had a little ripper pull off on friday night. So keep your worker red tractors. since I have to drive them I will drive whats the best.
