I had it serviced there 2800 miles ago and they mentioned the puking. I mentioned to the dealer today that I wanted a new cap for the bottle and said they aren't going to bother. They are willing to replace Head Gaskets Now. He said, go get the studs I want and they will do it whenever I want up to 36k miles. I have 18,900 now so I will get it done in a few weeks. I don't think it needs done but since they suggested it. I will have it done. I am all for studding the heads.

I went to the dealership also for the same reason. I was told they were not going to give me a new cap and that they would replace the gaskets and studs with only OEM stock. But they wanted to charge me 5 grand. And for 5 grand I can have it done with ARP studs and injectors.

How many miles...if its less than 100K, it should be on there dime!!! :swordfight:
I was thinking the same thing. If I were you I'd try a couple of different dealerships, since apparently some are cool about that kinda stuff and some aren't. I'm gonna be doing the same thing here shortly.

I have to supply studs. The dealer doesn't care what I do. I stopped in today after the first post. The tech suggested the ARP which I was going to go with anyhow.

Well the thing is, I know a dealership that would probably do it. But They are not going to install the injectors under warranty. I plan on upgrading the injectors at the same time.
Believe me when I tell ya, it'd be well woth it to let them do the studs and head gaskets and you install the injectors later. One requires removing the cab, one doesn't.

why do you have to pull the cab for head bolts? Ive never worked on a 6.0. but that sounds like the first motor where you have to remove the cab instead of removing the motor. but maybe thats why the 6.0 fourms are smaller than the 7.3.

I had studs done when my new motor went in and have about 2500 miles on it now and have the same program in it now and have done a few full throttle runs and haven't lost a drop of coolent. They also put in my EGR cooler block of plate from Elite as well but everything is just fine. It is a hot program from DJ. I saw 1500 today at the top of 3rd. and everything's peachy. SO, to answer yopur question...... STUD IT and forget it. Especially if they're WILLING to do it on their dime, NO OFFENSE but, you'd be an idiot not to do it.

It's actually a pretty quick process if you know what you're doing. My mechanic at my dealer can have new gaskets done starting at 7am and be done at 1pm with him and another mechanic helping. They're the only one's who do the gasket failures at the dealer. That's if the heads are fine.

Mine will be going in next week. I switched back to stock and put the cat back on tonight. The tea kettle whistle has been getting worse and when I went to leave for lunch the truck had a 15 foot puddle underneath it. The whole drivers side of the engine was wet with coolant:ford::poke:

that is the plan. It was blowing coolant stock on the way home tonight. I just hope that they check the heads and everything else. I dont want to have them put arps in it and it still puke and have them not cover it. It makes so much psi in the degas that it whistles like a tea kettle out of the bottle for 5 min after shuting her down:lame: Anyways I am going to attemt to drive it for a couple days stock to try to cover up any traces of being modified

I'll pretty much guarentee that your heads are jacked. If you're puking THAT bad then they BETTER check them. I had 2 cracks in one of mine and they didn't even bother really looking at the other one. My mech. said if you've got a bad puker, then heads are just about always warped. My mech. is the top mech. at the dealer. My truck had the tea kettle ordeal as well. Anytime I let off of a mildly hard throttle it would whistle. Mine didn't whistle for 5 minutes after shut down, but did for about a minute.

21k today and I just made the appointment to drop it off Monday AM for ARP's. Just talked to ARP to confirm that ARP-2504202 fit '07. Don't need to order wrong parts. All the same!
