Ordered a mbrp 4" cool dual kit for my buddies 99 and he's having major issues getting it to fit right. The drivers side tailpipe is rubbing his gooseneck hitch.

Tried it a bunch of different ways and just can't get things to line up right? Anyone that has installed one of these kits ever have issues? Anyone with suggestions?

I was about to say the few I have seen have rubbed the spare but did not seem to be hurting it. I want that kit for my OBS truck just no funds stacks look cool but have there issues also (soot ruined clothes) and having a short bed with goose neck in it plus a tool box just seems like it would get busy quickly. Soo I have been looking for a kit (duals) that will let me keep the spare under the truck. Looks like so far I will get the flo-pro dual muffler, and a little z looking piece of 4" to zig the muffler inward so the existing pass. side pipe can stay were it is. Next hurdle will be the drivers side tail pipe looks like alot of one off fitting .

They used to send out a disclamer about gooseneck hitches... The duals dont fit (atleast without modding) with a goose neck...

Yea I got the same problem on mine, they fit like crap!!! Can't get tips the same height either, rear hanger on the mans side rubs leaf spring too... I had it all lined up ok with a muf delete pipe and it was getting to many heads turning from a block away at wot so I put muffler on and it's been wrong since, need to get a couple a hours to retweek it...The place I got mine from said they won't fit with all GN hitches

I hated it when I worked at DI and people would come in for duals or 5" systems and never mention their GN hitches.
That chit made my life miserable....they basically just don't fit with a GN hitch. I never could actually do it...but I always wanted to smash the top of the driiver side pipe in to get clearance around the hitch. :hehe:

I ended up cutting up the drivers side pipe and adding some more pipe to get it around the gooseneck. I bought the truck used and never had a spare tire, and since I was running larger tires on it at the time anyway, I didn't plan on adding a spare.

I think I still have that modded pipe in the shop....... I'll have to go look see what is left of it.
