just wondering if anyone has ran into this problem. I have a 97 powerstroke and when i turn it to max ac nothing happens anymore it use to blow harder when i turned it there. I notice when i turn it to max ac it makes a hissing noise like it has a leak or something. Not sure whats going on any help would be great.. THanks guys.

check the blower motor resistor, should be near the fan motor, or outside, small rectangle with several wires coming out of it, two screws usually holding it , if any corrosion on it when pull it out, replace,

Sounds like a broken or unplugged vacuum line. I think max ac is the white one.

Max A/C just closes the fresh air door so your blower is recirculating air in the cab instead of bringing in fresh air from outside. Like Tom S said its pry a vacuum line problem.

yup sure enough it was the white vaccuum line under the hood it had a hole in it. Thanks guys.
