Sitting in the line to enter Burning Man, 4 cars from the gate, I lost the clutch. I had no manual, and few tools, so it took a day to find someone with a bit of knowledge to help figure it out. Turned out to be a blown master cylinder. Had to borrow a truck to drive the 2 1/2 hours back to Reno to buy a new one. What a surprise. It comes as a complete kit, master, slave, and resivior, and it is pre-bled.
The Fleet Service guys at Jones Ford in Reno were super helpful, especially Chris. He talked me through the whole process. It didn't even take tools to remove and replace the unit. Everything just twists in. It's the type of cheapy set-up that would make you scream CHEAP, but in this situation, I was really lucky. I wasn't really happy about being stuck 150 miles from reality with so few options. But it all worked out.
On another note, I was surprised that there were maybe 300-400 Super Dutys there.
