The tin nut is loose and the whole assembly where the plug is for the ipr rotates. I have been having a lopey idle and a little underpowered, is this tin nut supposed to be tight. I did a search and from i`m understanding this tin nut will loosen and can effect your trucks performance. Is this correct? Thanks, Roger.

I don`t really understand what the tin nut is doing. I haven`t taken it apart yet to tighten the tin nut. What exactly is the tin nut doing?
