thinkin of getting the firestone airbags to help out towin. my question is why do the kits for the fords the bags sit on top of the spring pack, while chevy and dodges sit on the axle... ? wouldnt havin the air bags sit directly on the axle be better? what does everyone else run?

The ford uses the winged blocks, so there is no where for the bags to go between the axle and the frame.

I had a pair of AIR LIFT air bags. They worked great

You can get long travel bags that do as you suggest, although they are a fair bit more dough. Put Firestones on my sig truck (over spring version) and they work well, mind you thus far they havn't hauled any huge loads...
