I have a 2002 F250 that needs a 1.5 block added in the rear to make it level. My question is since i have access to machines and steel, i can do this with out buying a kit, but do i need longer shocks? Everything out back is stock now, i know the ride might suck, but can i at least put it back together until i can get new shocks?

thanks

on mine you can loosen the shock mounts and re index them on the axle
(u bolts and the breacket let it rotate to either side of the pin )

you do loose the added security of the locating pin

but I have never had one move I was in the same boat as you , for the front I made shock extensions you could also just make them or the rear ?

also the best way to see if you need adjustment is to loosen the shock and see if you have put it past it's limits

I blew a Rancho by overextending it

should be ok with the stock shocks, most 2" leveling lits dont use longer ones.
even on my 99 with xtra springs the stock shocks fit fine
