IDm...Modded worked great for 5 miles then died...replaced the resistor...no start.OK bear with me. if the resistor is at 11:00 there is a piece at 12:00 it is one solid piece with there "pop top " pieces on top with a Torx screw on the middle section. Well the leftest part has some fried part on it...Is the whoe deal shot or can I replace the fried-loking piece? Thanks Tate

Tate do you have a digital camera as that might be the best way to get some help on that.

Take a picture of it like TOm siad if you can. I might be able to help.

Take 6,7,8 and look at the resistor. to the left is the round blue thing,,,,now go left to it there is a 2" ish long piece with 3 popoffable "clamps" the rightist one has burns on it....the only burn I can see on the whole IDm That piece has a Torx bolt in the middle....can that piece be taken out and replaced? I haVE line on a new to me IDM for 100. Best course of action ? Tater
