Yeah it is. I removed mine and even used a ford oem painted cap.

No problem glad I could help. The only hard part is taking the mirror out w/o breaking it. There are two screws holding that plastic cap on right behind the mirror. I actually used oem mirror caps on the Koolvues.

Good deal. I was really skeptical about the own caps working with aftermarket. How is the quality of the mirrors?
Not bad at all. However nothing beats oem. I actually sold mine because I want the power fold/telescoping ones. And another thing the koolvue uses a different glass. So if you break a mirror or need to replace it, the oem replacement glass will not fit the Koolvue mirrors.

I have the koolvue so the cap will come off its not made on?
You can get the caps off. But they will be harder to paint since they are textured.

I'm happy with mine for the price. The big mirror on the driver's side shakes a little at certain speeds, but not enough for me to worry about it. I'm overall happy with mine, you'll like yours too.
