I bought a new flywheel and Kevlar/ceramic clutch from Valair for my 2000 F-250, I pulled the transmission out and noticed my input shaft had some pretty extensive wear/grooving. I am not going to use the stock style needle pilot bearing with the shaft being so messed up. Has anyone put one of those Kevlar pilot bushings from southbend in their truck and had any luck with it or is it just a quick band aid fix????? Or should I just get a new input shaft.... any info would be much appreciated

I upgraded to the SBC kevlar bushing after the needle bearing went out in my old 550, taking the shaft, then the whole trans with it.

I think I put about 60k on the truck w/ the bushing, before I sold it.

I WOULD NOT put that needle bearing setup back in there.
