does anyone have a 10 inch lift -with 38 inch tires- running 4.10 gears? Just asking for a friendwho says he could get 17 mpg out of it on his 1997 f350. i thought it would be alot lower mpgs but thought i would ask the professionals.

It's not going to be easy...
You're adding rotational mass, reducing your engine's torque advantage on the road, and increasing drag.
the only benefit would be lower RPM's

you lose the most mileage starting and stopping. once you get them big tires rollin though, you can make some mileage. less revolutions on a big tire, compared to stock tires.
