Nothing beats a 12V92TT sitting next to you in an uninsulated cab on a terex scraper. The rear engine was a 8V92TT
At full bore they could hear me in the office a mile away.

Yeah that's a painful combination.
I've still got my 12V71 with a set of zoomies on it. Rattles windows all over town when I leave the stop light.

Nope, that was one of the first hydraulic units.
Had no brakes though.
Air brake system, with more leaks than the compressors could keep up with .
So I just dropped the bowl when I wanted to stop.

nah. the job was a mile away from the office. lack of brakes was from lack of maintenance on the part of the company the boss bought it from. and the fact he did not believe in wasting money on brakes on machines.
off the boat italian....

it it aint movin, it aint making money.

The turbo was a bit of a surprise. Injectors should be fairly reliable, but as yours are rebuilt I'm not entirely surprised to see one fail (and given Swamps rep as of late... even less surprised that one dropped out). Starters - most of the parts house starters are remans so yes they go out far more frequently. Though to be fair to the starter, it is turning over a high compression v-8 diesel engine - quite stressful.
To continue the "Chinese crap" theory . . . Chinese steel is way inferior to ours. If the turbo was built with a chinese bearing . . .

and the Solenoid from chinese electronic components . . .

And the starter, built in Mexico, from chinese com components (gear engaged and jammed) . . .

Anyway, the new injector fixed the Beast, and was $740 labor plus parts.

Anyone know of a good system to flat-tow a Ford?
