I don't know why the drag-and-drop rotated the picture.

Sigh. On hold with the tranny move to Tucson. They have too much work. They will tell me when I can bring it up. :bsflag:

What size are the plenums on the heads?
Okay, pardon my unfamiliarity with diesel and nickname talk.

Is the attached the plenum? If so, 3"

Also, what people are calling a "spider" - is that the intake manifold?

Lastly - is the KC38r worth $1600?

My goal is reliability and longevity . . . .

Ok you have a L99 plenums. You should have an L99 turbo if they didn't get new heads.

this is the spider^^^

Yes the kc turbo is worth the money. Dont forget you will want a delete turbo pedestal also.

Thank you so much! :x I believe the heads are original.

Do you have a recommendation for the delete turbo pedestal?

That one is ok but the kc turbo already has the high flow outlet. Just get a pedestal from kc when you get the turbo.

Diamond eye is ok. Fit is just ok. Look up jamo

Engine block, heads, crank, and cam dropped at Larry's Engine and Marine today. They will clean it up, check it out, and let me know . . . . 😲

Drive shaft dropped at Precision Products Driveshaft for U-joints, carrier bearing and balancing. $330

1.5 hour drive one way. At least now, I feel like I am getting somewhere.

Hey Jax, on your heat shield, Ford might accidentally still offer that. Not sure.

The Home Depot stuff CJ suggested is a good option.

Hey @Dustybumpers what do you think, didn't you do one recently?

Ok. That is best done from inside. Take carpet out, use the foam lined with foil they use for duct work. Spray glue, and aluminum tape.
I have some pictures in my laptop of the last one I did if he's interested

Your pics almost look like they are from the Queen Creek, Casa Grande, Coolidge AZ, area. I grew up in Chandler and it kinda reminded me of those places

Sierra Vista . . . we don't get as hot here. :)

We actually have a slow rain drifting through . . . No brilliantly blue skies until tomorrow.
