It's only one bolt and it's in the middle of the axle on top. Should be easy peasy. Most likely it just has metal on it.
I saw that the 2000 has that, but the 1999 supposedly has them in the hub? Too busy researching to crawl under yet . . . .

Agreed. remove the sensor, clean it good, and reinstall.

Thanks so much, Shawn! Yes, it is on the rear differential.

Did a general bolt-tightening on the underside of the power train, and put in new rear shocks. Dang, compressing those things was hard! But now I'm putting off the front shocks for tomorrow.

I put a jack under the hitch and start raising to take some preload off of the suspension. You only have to compress the shock a little bit that way

OMG!!! It took me as long to do one front shock as it did for me to do two rear shocks! What a royal PITA!

HELP! The Bilstein 4600's have a 6mm hex on the bolt end, and you have to tighten down a lock-nut. What do you guys use? I can hardly get my hands in there!

The old shocks may have been the originals. Wow. Should have seen the "welded-on rubber" on the lower shock mount.

And I just figured out the 4x4s do not have the front mounts as the 2 x 4s.

Deep socket on a flez ratchet. Hold the shock with your hand.

Ball joints on 4x4 are easier, so it makes up for it later......

New shocks in. The Beast rides like a dream!

I really like this truck. Not many people can say that about a Found On Road Dead Basket Case. But this one has revived spectacularly!
