Just talked with Dennis, the little wore out 220k pmr motor ran a 13.897 @ 100.589 out at the track tonight!

That's on stage one's and fairly mild tunes from Jody. Stock 265 tires as well. I think he said his 60' was like a 2.28, damn that trucks got some potential.

Congrats Dennis!!!

I made 3 runs tonight. First 2 were 2nd Gear Launches to see what it would do. Both were about .5 seconds quicker 60' time than previous, but when the boost hit it still broke the tires loose and I had bad wheel hop issues both times that forced me to back out of it. Coupled with shifting issues from manually shifting the truck, these were not great passes.

Last pass was a no boost launch in Drive. I was totally prepared to have to feather the throttle to try to manage tire spin and get it to hook...all I wanted was a 100mph trap speed. Track prep was great due to the ADRA event that was running and the damn thing just hooked...not so much as a peep from the tires.

Here's the passes in order:

First Pass - Second Gear Launch, Lots of wheel hop and problems shifting.
RT: .375
60': 2.281
1/8: 10.371 @ 67.504
1/4: 15.788 @ 93.985

Second Pass - Second Gear Launch, Lots of wheel hop, better shifting but still hit the limiter (doesn't like to be manually shifted)
RT: .255
60': 2.329
1/8: 9.934 @ 74.119
1/4: 15.061 @ 97.262

Third pass, Launch in Drive, No boost...just about 200 rpm above idle...amazingly no wheel spin or hop...it just hooked and went.
RT: .142
60': 2.268
1/8: 9.023 @ 80.250
1/4: 13.897 @ 100.589

All of these runs were made on 2 year old BFG "Rugged Terrain" tires (35psi in back and 65psi in front).

Now I REALLY can't wait to get slicks on it and try some boosted launches!!!

Thanks Guys!

I'm having a set of wheels made and will be running M&H Nostalgias (12" tread width, 31.5" tall)...they'll fit with no mods to the sheetmetal and won't stick out past the fender!

Nice!:rockwoot:

For the record, if you can get it to hook up in the 1.8-1.9 60' range and gain just 2 or 3 mph, you should be in the 12's.

Thanks Danny. I think 12's from this combo is pretty ambitious, but then again I did tell Jody to leave a bit of power on the table when he did my "race" tune just because of the PMRs.

I'm not making any predictions, I honestly expect to break something when I put slicks on it and make a boosted launch just because of the miles on this drivetrain. Only time will tell...

Snow White ran 12.70's-12.90's @103, so it's very possible to run a high 12 on what you have.
With the suspension you have and slicks 1.70 sixty foots should be a breeze.
Good luck with it.

What does it weigh in at?

While I understand this truck weighs less then mine... it really gives me hope for my truck. I just want a 14 flat at 7,000 lbs.

DP Tuner, stage 1's, big oil, and a turbo will hopefully get me there!
