Hey all, after posting up in the extended cab pics thread Ive been wondering if my truck's paint is factory. Here are 2 pics of my truck, sorry they are a bit dirty.





The closest I could find is this: 2000 Ford F350 Super Duty Lariat Crew Cab Dually Woodland Green Metallic / Medium Parchment Photo #8 | DealerRevs.com

its the same colors, but notice mine goes over my wheel wells.

So my question to yall is have you seen a factory paint job that has the trim continue up like that? was it an option?

my cafax shows no accidents and I know the truck was like this in 2005. Before that, I know it only had 1 owner and was bone stock.

I dont think that it went over the wheels on duallys compared to SRW trucks with the same paint scheme

its possible. however, ive been looking for pictures but havent found any, SRW or DRW that go over other than trucks with fender flairs or much newer.

I agree Zmann, Id be suprised if someone who didnt really mod the truck at all spent the money to do that though. but who knows.


looked at the color code in the door jam, it says FV B5


also, something else that is interesting is that there is no code for axle :shrug:

ok I bet it was a one color truck and had drama/rust or a color savy /painter owner ?? so a new lower paint change is easier than a paint match

very possible! the original owner was the owner of a construction company and usually used the truck to run diesel and himself to job sites. Could have had some body damage from an accident with machinery and didnt report the accident, or rock chips or something.

At this point, im almost positive it didnt leave the factory like that.

on a side note, ever hear of a truck just not having any axle code?

no but i haven't looked for many on the sticker isn't it on the dif tag also ?

Im pretty sure the tan fender paint would be custom. Also the green looks a little too light for the green trucks I've seen on those years

FUnny, That is exactly what i want to do to my 2000. I'm pretty sure that is not factory.

Thanks, it's always a work in progress, Lol. Im at the community college right now, but in September I'll be at the University of Rhode Island.

I love this paint scheme, wish i could find a nice low mileage crew cab.

Your telling me man. I have a 95 f350 i want to restore, my 2000 needs tons of chit, and i have a 20' center console shamrock in the backyard i need to get painted and in the water. fawk
