I'm wanting to change out the gearing in the 05 Ex, I have a Dana 60 from a 04 F350 for a donor to change out the Dana 50. Are the gears in the Super 60's the same as the regular dana 60's? I'm thinking of using the 3.31's from a 2011 superduty.

thanks

Conventional Dana 60 axles use 9 3/4-inch-diameter ring gears. The Super 60 uses a larger and strogner10-inch-diameter ring gear. The Super 60 carrier is also new and features net-formed spider gears, but it is dimensionally identical to traditional Dana 60 pieces so the 60 Super will accept reg 60 lockers and limited slips. The super axle is also almost 15" longer than a 04 350 reg dana 60.

Thanks,

The super 60 is only in the 05+ 450/550's right? Is the 05+ 250/350 is just a reg 60 with coils? So if I used the 04 dana 60, I should be able to use the gears from 2011 F-250?

thanks
Jeremy
