I have a truck at the dealer right now with 95k miles on it for a fan clutch problem. They called and said that the first test procedure in the book for the fan clutch is to verify the pcm has the most current updated tune on it. (which we all know it does not becuase they change tunes every two weeks) They said they can not go any further until they reflash the pcm and they have to charge us $88 to reflash because the pcm is not part of the warranty..

is this right?>?

I would let them reflash it fords newest tune is easier to custom tune. But as far as having to reflash for the fan clutch to engage sounds like BS.

Your Flash would be covered under the 100K with of course the $100 deductible.
