Today I went and started my truck for the first time in about a month. I let it idol for a bit and it kept goin into its own high idle setting. Usually she idles at 650, when it went into its higher idle it would stay at 900 until I hit the break pedal. It eventuallu stopped after running it for 30 mins, anyone else have this happen ? Is it normal ? Its not that cold yet. I did notice that the temp guage was low when it would do this. As soon as it went to its normal temp thats when it stoppd

It's a Ford Diesel, it's going to have some kind of rattle. :ford:
The bigger question is why haven't you been driving you truck for over a month?

That was going to be my question. Answer to OP's question: Your truck is mad at not being started for over a month. Drive it. The worst thing you can do to any vehicle is let it sit and be ignored. Machines HATE not being used.

Mine is not a machine though.
