Howdy all,

Had the IPR o rings from the previous owner and figured I'd throw them on. Ran into a bit of a snag, has anyone else had trouble with the IPR split-square style ring not fitting tightly on the IPR after getting it on? I installed it and it seems ok. 8.5-8.9% duty cycle at idle with about ~475PSI +-20 PSI and at WOT in between 2400-2500. I'm not sure how these external o-rings would affect performance, but any insight is appreciated.

That's just the way the split ring is. It is there to support the actual o-ring in sealing. A bad o-ring will allow oil to bypass, especially when warm (hot oil is less viscous than cold oil) and therefore not allow sufficient pressure to build. Cheers!

Great Patrick thank you for the post. So from what I have seen these numbers are within spitting distance of spec, especially considering the age of the parts involved.
