I have a fleet of PSD trucks and vans to service and I'm getting intermittent dying on several. No codes.

Sometimes they start right back up -- other times it takes starting fluid or some other more drastic means (long crank times, leave it sit overnight, etc.).

Any suggestions outside of the CPS?

Just change the CPS anyway?

CPS!!! and dont use starting fluid, u should never have to use that stuff on these engines. it is either the CPS, Glow Plugs or Glow Plug relay that will cause these not to start.

Mine started with a bad GPR. I thought only 2 things will keep the rig from firing: The CPS and Duty Cycle (ICP/IPR) Could someone clarify that for me.
As long as the rig is ok outside of not starting

Uh I use brake clean if I need a starting agent. Might try the plug on the cps that caused me a bunch of greif last year I just stuck an "O" ring pick under the three contacts on the plug and pulled them where they would make contact.

GP'S and GPR can make it very difficult, but certainly not cause a stalling issue.

If it's a stall and no/start I would look hard at the cps, could be fuel pump, IPR, etc, but more likely it's a good ole common cam sensor failure.

First thing I would wanna know is why you are getting no codes on several different vehicles. Figure that out, and it will open up a whole world of options as to what might be wrong.
