Hey, I bought a 96' F350 last year the previous owner had installed a early 99' intercooler in it but didnt pipe it, and left the holes uncovered. Is this a problem with dust and possibly dirt getting into the cooler? How could I clean it? Or should I just pipe it and let it clean out?

Take it off and wash it out. Pour ya some westleys bleach white in there and fill it with water and slosh it real good. Make sure you rinse it out really good and re-install. Should be good to go. I usually wash mine out every time its off the truck, mainly for the oil from the breather.

Simple Green and water solution works too. I used a 4:1 mix and sloshed it for about ten minutes then rinsed it out several times with fresh water until it rinsed out clean.
