Nozzle size is more of an issue than the flow rate. Larger nozzles are where you can get into trouble with PMR's. Greg is running 180's on his PMR motor with stock nozzles and big oil. Very safe, yet good HP combo.

Matty speaks a truth!

Check out my sig, it makes things happen and believe me I'm not easy on it.

Does everything I want it to do. FUN, capable tow rig, daily driver, rice eater can be done on PMR's. If you're shootin for an all out drag or pullin truck, then of course you'll need better rods, along with 30-40K of other "better" stuff. :D

DI, BWD, and Dynomite diesel all seem to be good places for injectors and are all sponsors. I would call them and talk to them about what you want.

A C codes are 160cc single shots and readily available, I just wanted a little more so I built my own. (Might be going to 195cc soon :D )

theres a guy that works at swamps with pmr's and hes running 225's with swamps gen3 oil and full fuel system and pulls a trailer on the regular and hes had no problems, its a manual so he don't run it down the track but on the street its fun to drive.

1.) Because my tuner knows what he is doing.

2.) It hasn't blown up.

I have towed 26,000+ for upwards of 30hrs, done so many foot to the floor boosted launch drag races I can't count them.
Heck just fri night I probably made 10 passes on our little "drag strip" I was thinkin, dang I'm bein hard on this thing.
I change the oil, filters, and drive it HARD.

I have stock nozzles.

I have WAY less fuel than say, Kainers, Dzacc, etc.

I like this one the best.

Not that this would happen to you, but newer people probly didn't get to see posts a few years ago, that went something like......."my motor blew and all i had was a chip".

Now a days all they see are i got hybrids on my PMR's are fine............booooom.
Well, go ahead............recommend a safe combo.

I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that my injectors are 100% capable of in excess of 650rwhp, and I fully plan to let them have it soon enough.

But, in my daily driver program the truck makes 300rwhp (on the single charger) zero smoke and a flat out egt of 1150 after towing for hours under full load.

It is all in the tuning. Do you see any DT530 engines making stupid power out of the box? They are designed with these injectors, that's where the come from, and those engines make what? 300ish hp at the crank?

All in the tuning. The nozzle will determine the injector's (speed) or aggressiveness, but at the end of the day, the tuning is still capable of taming just about any nozzle/injector combo for ultimate power no matter how rough the idle may be.

Two Cents.

Yes, Johnathan at Swamps has been providing me with tuning since I threw my hands up with the current offerings many years ago when watching most people tuning these trucks at the time was about like watching the monkeys throwing sh#t at each other at the zoo.

I was about to buy the software myself when I decided to start working with them on some tuning. With no emulator it was the old lets try this and that, go out and drive (4 at a time) and come back with something like, little less tip in, the fuel feed is a little sluggish or too much, whatever. Then reburn, and do it all over again till you got something that drove right. Something you would have expected that most of the other tuning would have driven like to begin with.

This was years ago though, back in the days of jacking the crap out of the EOT table and telling people that their injectors were "rattling".......

I don't think some people really know just how far tuning has come on the 7.3 in just the last, say, 4 years.

Now there are multiple places that can do live tuning (with or without the emulator) as well as live cylinder pressure testing to produce that tuning.

I don't believe that Johnathan has nearly the same level of extensive tuning for all codes and such just sitting on file, but as far as sitting down with a truck and getting it running properly, and happily, that's something he can nail.

If you happen to run a DAC3 (my PCM code of choice) you would have no problem finding programs at Swamps :D
