So I’m working on a e99 7.3 with 180/30 injectors a adrenaline HPOP upgraded turbo with 4mbrp.
the truck has a miss and hunts or surges at idle. I was thinking it was a bad injector so I ran some tests. I puked the VCs and tested the harness from IDM to each injector and it all seams good. So with VCs off I start the truck. Instantly I noticed that none of the injectors are exhausting oil but there is a bit of seepage from beneath the injectors retainers. I unplugged each injector one at a time with no noticeable change.
Im a bit at a loss. how is it running if it’s not exhausting oil?
It doesn’t burn oil there is no engine oil in the fuel filter or coolant. The engine stays at the right oil level.
Has anyone ever seen or heard of this and what do I do to fix it?

I did all eight are doing the same thing.

I’m told that some hybrid injectors have the exhaust pot blocked off.

I knew that was a thing with 6.0 injectors, but wasn't sure on the 7.3. Would make sense.
But if you have oil coming up around the hold-down, you probably have leaking Orings.

I've never heard the oil port being blocked off when making hybrids, but I dont know much.

They aren't ejecting oil AT ALL?
