im going to do a pump and injectors on my 83 van
by buddy at the local diesel shop, says i should put in injectors from an early year turbo 7.3.
that the spray patterns and angle are updated and better more efficent.
The turbo injectors are an emissions injector, they had a spray pattern to help the engine clean up for the feds, which may or may not be a bad thing. From what I have heard, if you just get a set of BB codes, youll get good all around performance and efficiency on a N/A engine.
From my research there is no conclusive evidence that there is any difference between any of the injectors, seems more like a way to figure out what years and applications they came out of. From what i understand your van should have A or B codes. But BB seems to be the average injector everyone runs, rebuilds, sells, ect. I do know that my 89 had BBs in it origionally.
