I have 2 each - 97 F350 1 ton dually's 2WD / Auto trans. (pic's below)

While waiting on parts to do a compression check on my main hauling conversion truck...
The other back up truck incurred a most incredibly odd malfunction.
Lets play a little game of "guess that part".
Below is a picture of the part that caused me sooo much irritation - can you guess what it is?

Well - below is a pic of what it used to be.
My brakes suddenly started to "jerk" - like it was an ABS problem - but no ABS light.
Months earlier I had replaced both front calipers because they were starting to stick and get warm.
I thought maybe I had some air in the lines - so I bled, and bled, and bled the brake system - even the ABS bleeder - but the jerking persisted.
I took apart the right rear brake drum - and found the culprit.
The self adjuster cable had broke - and the upper end of the cable still attached to the brake post was getting in between the shoe and the drum....
BUT - the other end of the self adjuster apparatus was also "occasionally" getting in between the shoe and the drum -
causing the "jerky" brakes.
Never heard of this one before... has anyone else?
