If I have to rebuild...

Sponsers help me out here, what am I looking at for...

1. .30 over pistons
2. full rebuild kit
3. what ever else I might need
4. Stud it while its out???

I am really hopeing its just a IPR or HPOP system issue but...:confused:

If the block is OK, and none of the rods are bent, then a Ford rebuild kit should do the trick. Slap in some H11's and call it good. Just need to know what your future mod plans are.

Really its a DD that will see some sled pulls and such... Its done great for me up tell now, I might be jumping the gun so to speak, as the dealer has not even got it in yet.

But 400-450hp, No spray, water/meth... If it needs rebuild I will step up to dual oil maybe a TN T-60 series...

Hey, Just you keep your panty hose on Mr. LOL Wait till the tec gets his hands on it, I'd put money on it being something stupid. I hope you did'nt melt a piston though, sounds like a injector issue more than anything.

What the, you take your lap top evrywhere you go or what? First your on the side of the road and posting , now your at the stealer ship. LOL. I did read the other post on whart happened, You think it got hot enough to melt the piston?

I dont know right now... I am at work...LOL But I am betting its a IPR or something like that, but 1 gallon of diesel fuel in the oil did nothing any good...

Well look on the bright side if the motor turns out to be ok , It will be one of the cleanest on the face of the planet. Keep us in the skinny though.

I will... Just tired of driving a F150 from hertz and its got a FRICKIN BACKUP ALARM...LOL

Just Forged Rods... I'm not looking to compete with the big dogs... 400-450 is fine for me.

Yes I do like Greg's setup too.. But I think even Greg would change his rods out if the motor was out too :D .. I know when the time comes for mine engine to come out, its getting some good ones..

Is it me or do these diesel's chew up the tires! Holy crap I have become good friends with my local Les Schwab tire store..

So how hard is it to rebuild an engine anyway. I have rebuilt small block chevies but never a diesel. I keep looking at the DI short block, but I also know the VAB boys do rebuilds and they are just up the coast. For me it will ultimately come down to time.

Are they even on here? I don't remember seeing them?

IIRC they quoted me something like $5K to do a rebuild if I brought them the engine. I may be a bit off on the details though it was a while ago.
