I am in the process of cleaning up and fixing all of the loose ends that the previous owner left my truck with when I bought it. I was cleaning around the turbo and noticed that there is a plug not hooked up right below the turbo, under where the intake hooks into the turbo inlet. I hooked it up and the truck didnt seem to run right when I took it for a test drive. I unhooked it again like it was and the truck is running just like normal again.

Question is...What is it's purpose?

That is for your ebpv. Most people unplug it so that the valve will stay open. The valve is there to help on warmup. But most places you dont even need it. Truck will warm up fine without it.

That would be the EBPV if you leave it unhooked it would hurt anything. Mine was unhooked for a long time. Plus it does away with the annoying hissing sound when the trucks cold.
