That’s a massive gamble just to save a few bucks. I wouldn’t do it, but that’s just me.
Do you have a recommendation on pushrods and gasket preferences and location to purchase?
I was thinking of ordering Mahle Excuse me if I misspelled that And also I am assuming that was the time to do all the nipple cup seal, etc. and oil cooler and a new EGR cooler correct I have not ordered my cooler have a new egr cooler from international was a gift

For stock valve train use a set of 6,4L pushrods

a mahle gasket kit would be fine, it’s OEM. Ford kit is a little more complete but not a big difference.

what year is the truck?

it greatly depends upon location and machine shop experience for price. Anywhere from 300-750$ for clean, cut, shave, magnaflux and pressure check. It will be more than that if you want the valves pulled and checked

I just went through a bunch of engine work on my 2004 too. This is just to share my experiences however I know only enough to be dangerous (maybe in a not good way) so definitely stick with what the experts say..., but it might also be good to make sure the rocker arm retainer clips aren't tan/brown...if they are replace them with the newer black ones. You definitely want the 6.4 pushrods (I think that is all Ford sells for the 6.0L's anymore anyway)...they are directional, which may be common knowledge, but I had some that were installed upside down by the dealer I bought my truck from (they supposedly did head gaskets before I bought it) so their mechanic didn't know the difference or didn't care...which may have caused other issues in my case. Definitely have the heads checked and machined...if you don't you might get to do this process all over again soon...trust me here.

A new oil cooler and EGR cooler is usually a good idea when you're in that far if funds allow for it, also new oil stand pipes and oil rail plugs and maybe even check the seals on the oil rail ball tubes...if the ball tubes wiggle easily you might want to consider new o-rings. ...supposedly too much play in the ball tubes can cause oil leaks or long crank or no start issues when hot so replacing them now might make sense if they're loose. ...and if you're not already using it, now might be a half decent time to swap to ELC coolant too if you have time to flush the system before refilling it. Two other things to consider...1. if you're doing this cab off and your body mounts are in sad shape, I HIGHLY recommend the S&B silicon ones...they are miles better than OEM and are only a bit more $ than factory...and 2. if your exhaust manifold are fairly toasted they'll be a heck of a lot easier to replace now (especially if the cab is off) than getting at them later. Best of luck in your repairs!
