My CC rear doors always rattle. I've tried to re-adjust the latch posts with zero luck. My solution right now has been electrical tape wrapped around the posts. That works to solve the rattling, but makes it difficult to open the doors. Plus the tape only lasts for about 1-2 months before the doors start rattling again.

Anyone have a better solution that is guaranteed to work?

Have you tried the door seal mod of inserting flexible hose in the weatherstrip?

is something worn out or worn down,either the post or laching arms,i would inspect them closely,close and open the laching arms.sounds like you have worn eighther grooves in the post's or waddeled out the shape of the arms...anyway replace worm parts ,posts and locks...if nothing is worn you still havent adjusted it right.....

Yeah I did that a while back. Made a good bit of difference in tire road noise, but did nothing for the rear doors rattling.

That's exactly what has happened. The latches still look brand new. Didn't know if anyone has found a way to adjust the posts other than buying new ones. New ones will just wear out again eventually, but I guess it's a better fix than electrical tape :shrug:

I think you have to slot the holes.

it will only groove the postes if it's miss adjusted.so replace them and watch them for awile to make sure it's true...

Curtis, look for slack in the hinges. Maybe you've had fat girls hanging out your back windows?

If there is slack, replace the hinges and the sloppiness should no longer be an issue, except for the fat girls
