i don't care if he was on steriods, yea it makes you stronger but it doesn't help your hand eye coordination. i agree with rich that he should have stopped early but can you really blame him, who wouldn't want to break the all time home run record. he may be bigger and stronger than ruth or aaron but you still have to put the bat on the ball and hit it in the right spot (especially on a wooden bat where the sweet spot is smaller) to hit homeruns!
no i'm not saying that at all, i don't agree with steroids! i work out everyday with guys that are on the juice and their alot bigger than me and it is tempting but i'm not gonna stoop to that level. i'm just congratulating the fact that he hit all those bombs. i understand that the fields aren't as big and some of the pitching may be rigged but look at all the other guys on roids that don't hit near as many homeruns. if it sounded like it i'm sorry but i don't agree with it, its just amazing. So basicly your saying it is allright for kids to find out Hey a pro athelete did it soo I can too. Man that is just not right it sends the wrong message to alot of folks.
Let them juice. But let the guys that don't use corked bats, or aluminum bats, or both.
I used to work out and was considering it a long time ago but sure am glad I did not use them .Hell I allready have a short temper as it is, herd that crap makes things worse. I just think it ain't right the old timers did it all natuaral. Oh well the times they are a changing, and not for the best in some instances.no i'm not saying that at all, i don't agree with steroids! i work out everyday with guys that are on the juice and their alot bigger than me and it is tempting but i'm not gonna stoop to that level. i'm just congratulating the fact that he hit all those bombs. i understand that the fields aren't as big and some of the pitching may be rigged but look at all the other guys on roids that don't hit near as many homeruns. if it sounded like it i'm sorry but i don't agree with it, its just amazing.
MAn I am right there with you. Actually the bigger guys have a much harder time with coordination.i don't care if he was on steriods, yea it makes you stronger but it doesn't help your hand eye coordination. i agree with rich that he should have stopped early but can you really blame him, who wouldn't want to break the all time home run record. he may be bigger and stronger than ruth or aaron but you still have to put the bat on the ball and hit it in the right spot (especially on a wooden bat where the sweet spot is smaller) to hit homeruns!
THANK YOU!! somebody finally sees it the same way i do, i've had quit a few arguments on this subject.MAn I am right there with you. Actually the bigger guys have a much harder time with coordination.
It takes serious skill to be able to hit the ball correctly to get it out of the park. Whether or not you can bench 300lbs or 500lbs.
What are you talking about? All the supplements he took made him stronger and faster. Strength = greater bat speed which = homeruns if you can connect with the ball. Granted you have to be somewhat decent at hitting the ball but anyone playing professional baseball already is. It is pathetic that he and all the others have resorted to this. I would love to break a record like that but I would not want to do it like that. His record should never get put in the books and hopefully he will never be in the Hall of Fame.i don't care if he was on steriods, yea it makes you stronger but it doesn't help your hand eye coordination. i agree with rich that he should have stopped early but can you really blame him, who wouldn't want to break the all time home run record. he may be bigger and stronger than ruth or aaron but you still have to put the bat on the ball and hit it in the right spot (especially on a wooden bat where the sweet spot is smaller) to hit homeruns!
