i don't care if he was on steriods, yea it makes you stronger but it doesn't help your hand eye coordination. i agree with rich that he should have stopped early but can you really blame him, who wouldn't want to break the all time home run record. he may be bigger and stronger than ruth or aaron but you still have to put the bat on the ball and hit it in the right spot (especially on a wooden bat where the sweet spot is smaller) to hit homeruns!

Yeah..but think of all the fly outs that turned into home runs cause of the juice. It's tainted, he cheated. Plus he faced watered down pitching, a "juiced Ball" and tiny ballparks. Now, if he came out and said I cheated, that's one thing, at the time there was no policy in Baseball.

no i'm not saying that at all, i don't agree with steroids! i work out everyday with guys that are on the juice and their alot bigger than me and it is tempting but i'm not gonna stoop to that level. i'm just congratulating the fact that he hit all those bombs. i understand that the fields aren't as big and some of the pitching may be rigged but look at all the other guys on roids that don't hit near as many homeruns. if it sounded like it i'm sorry but i don't agree with it, its just amazing.

Let them juice. But let the guys that don't use corked bats, or aluminum bats, or both.

I pitched a season of semi pro baseball. The last thing the sport needs are hotter bats. I cant tell you how many times I almost got my head knocked off. Those wood bats are saving lives.

MAn I am right there with you. Actually the bigger guys have a much harder time with coordination.

It takes serious skill to be able to hit the ball correctly to get it out of the park. Whether or not you can bench 300lbs or 500lbs.

Kinda of like how the UFC is going now. Every fighter is starting to sound like a nascar driver, and even the TUF series is using cheesy promotional stuff during the shows. The WEC isn't too bad right now though.

What are you talking about? All the supplements he took made him stronger and faster. Strength = greater bat speed which = homeruns if you can connect with the ball. Granted you have to be somewhat decent at hitting the ball but anyone playing professional baseball already is. It is pathetic that he and all the others have resorted to this. I would love to break a record like that but I would not want to do it like that. His record should never get put in the books and hopefully he will never be in the Hall of Fame.

Yes, it does take skills to hit a homerun and not just strength. If you know anything about him though, you would know that he did not used to hit that many homeruns. He only started about the time they say he started using illegal suplements. Look up his old stats and compare them to the later years. It was about the same time he added 35lbs of muscle.
