I know Housey is running an HX50, is anyone else?

I'm just wondering how hard they are to light. A core walked into work that's dirt cheap for me. I may have to send it to Tony for some testing once I install a new CHRA.

House doesn't have a stock HX50, depending on the size of the exhaust side will determine how hard to light. In stock form they aren't that much bigger than an H2E.

I have a Scheid HX50 that I had a hard time lighting w/ a 19cm exhaust housing but the wheels were quite a bit bigger than stock, and it was sled pulling w/ and auto and 35's and 3.73 gears.

Tell us what the exhaust housing is would be a place to start, how would you bolt it up? H-max kit or build your own??

IIRC the H2 series because the HX50's (50,52,55). The H2E was used on some versions of the L10 and the L10 eventually became the M11 on which the HX50 could be found.

Visibly it looked about the size of an H2E. I didn't have time to look on the Holset disc to find the scoop on the turbo we got, it came in at 5 til 5 and I wanted to get home! I'll look on Monday to see what housing and such are on it. For what I'll have in the turbo it's hard to pass up. Gotta love getting parts at cost, you guys would hate to know what I paid for my brand new Alliants.

Dave....I will fab my own kit.

Hey Will,
.....any turbo can go "boom." LOL Old school??? How old do you think the H2E's are.;)

Ya no kidding. A popular big turbo used on 6BT compounds can be traced all the way back to the 60's!

I was just passing on what I have read on the Dodge websites

Are you from north Texas by chance? I lived in Plainview, TX for a while, and I raced a guy from Amarillo(I think) at the Lubbock drag strip, and I think his name was Rooster

just wondering

Will,

That's me!:D See you in Houston in October! I don't think I'm throwing enough fuel at it to blow it up.

Geoff,

Close, but no.<180

Ryan,

Thanks for that info, I'll break it down Monday and see. Do you think it will be hard to light with a stick and small injectors.
