Hey guys tryin to take my Hpop off tonight and wondering about the 18mm bolt on the gear how do i get that off it just seems to turn the pump is it reverse threaded??? need to get this thing off tonight so any help is greatly appreciated

No, it's not reverse thread. Should come right out. Unless someone put Loc-tite on it? Then you'll need to squeeze an impact gun in there!

Impact.. Make sure it's in reverse before you start pounding on it though. Either that or hold the engine at the flywheel. It should come off pretty easy. Most of the ones I've done haven't needed anything more than a tap with a deadblow hammer on the ratchet handle.

mine like turns and seems to turn more like tis pumping but doesnt seem to come off????

I had a customer last week with a similar problem. When Ford replaced his under warranty, they put some kind of loc-tite on the bolt. He used a 3/8 drive impact. Without the impact, I don't think he would have got it out.

ok its good got it off, now how many bolts hold it on on the back all i see is one am I missing some somewhere???

There are two bolts. One on each side of the pump. Call anytime, or just use paypal on my site for the HPOS1. My shipping address is also under the contacts section.

putting it back on will spin the motor over too sometimes, a 15/16" socket on the crankshaft bolt and a helper usually helps.

When you put it back together use a 15/16" socket with a breaker bar on the crank bolt just like Wackjob, I mean Wackerjr said.

ok ill have to do that.... I have a friend that helped me take it off last night, ill make sure hes there to put it all back on, lol in fact while i was talking to joey he finished taking the pump off for me
