Ok I just checked everything to see why I have no heat coming out of my heater and I think its my heater core thats bad, How do you replace the heater core and should I change the coolant while I'm at it.

Some year models have a valve in the hot coolant supply to the heater core. Does yours? It is vacuum actuated and located up by the firewall, near the MAP sensor.

Yes it does have that valve and it moves when the knob is turned to heater even though there is no heat coming out,

I would assume the coolant, head gaskets, water pump etc first.
