Any advice for a DIY’er on changing the front cover on a 6.4l ?
I’m getting water in the oil, (no oil in the water). With oil drain plug out, topped off reservoir, did coolant pressure test and water came out the oil drain…

Pull everything on the front off to make it easy. The job is All nuts and bolts..
You’ll need to carefully remove the wear sleeve for the front seal if it has one, and you’ll need to get creative or buy the installer for the new seal/wear sleeve

Before you put it back on, put FORD TA-31 on the section where the bedplate and block meet the front cover, dime size, and then put anaerobic sealant on the back of the whole front cover where it mates the block and make sure you spin the oil pump, as you final torque it or you’ll jam up your oil pump.
