So if you have done a conversion in your Ford do you regret not having the PSD anymore? If so why?

How bout this, if you have done a conversion and have no regrets then why is it that you like it so much?

Because I can make 600hp + and not worry that every time I put it to the wood my freeze plugs are gonna fall out oke:

Also that I like to have something different. Everybody always said the perfect truck would be a Cummins in a Ford, and now I've got one .

tell me about it. When I have done oil turbo injectors fuel system live tunes IC and a dodge with a smarty can eat me it makes me sick.

When I think back & not too hard on how much I have spent on my 7.3's (plural) I could have put a Cummins in all had more power,more dependability & money left over!!
Wanted a 6 oh untill I went to work at a International dealer & I'm finished with that urge!

I have the motor, turbo, computer, wire harness out of a 03 cummins. How much money in addition am i going to have to put with it in order to put it in my 2000 superduty. I am just talking parts only. Rough estimate from anyone who has done one.

If you use your trans...you need the flexplate and trans adaptor...~1500 bucks for those....motor mounts...~300 for those and a stand alone trans controller. Most use PCS and they retail ~2200 bucks I think.

PCS is less then 1k for the controller.

Adapter plate 795.00
Billet Flex plate 625.00
Motor mounts 250.00 for the CR mounts

Rest is just motor and parts you need to go with it.

Reason I started this thread was for all the people that have not done a conversion and try to talk others out of it for one reason or another, I.E. "its just as expensive to build a Cummins as it is a 7.3". Ask any person who has done the conversion and they will tell you its the best thing they have ever done.

7.3's are a great motor but after a certain point its just hard headedness to keep dumping that much money into them. I am a 7.3 guy and specialize in them but its stupid how easy it is for me to get 700+ hp out of my CR and in 4 months have gotten it to a level to nationaly compete in sledpulling all the while driving it everyday on the street.

hey bean long time no talk too. My 05 is doing great with my cummins. pull up a mountain and the water temp never moves and my EGT's never get even close to danger. Then to top it off I actually have gas mileage. A for has never heard of that. So I can really say that I have 0 Regrets.
