My cousin has issues on startup with his Truck ( 1996 f-250 7.3 powerstroke), it has humping/ jumping idle ( I’m not sure the actual term) where it bounces between 500-850 rpm (kinda feels like it’s running off only 4 cylinders) until you give it some throttle then it goes away. Also when you give it throttle to speed up it bounces a bit too but only like a 50 rpm difference. We think maybe it’s the IDM so we were hoping we could figure out how to test it

I have helped out several friends by scanning their Fords. I think the app is marvelous.

The big plus with FORScan is that it is can run on your smartphone , then all you need is a ELM327 adapter.

I have two Fords that it will work on and I keep a adapter in each one.
