I have my 05' modded alittle 190cc stix,VVT upgrade from BDP,Studs,EGR delete,Spearco I/C, and CFM intake elbow, air filter, and exaust. I have Innovatives extreme race tune(around 500 rwhp) i was told w/ this setup,I was wondering how much if any NOS can I spray and be somewhat safe, I know there are no gaurentees but just a guess on a jet size single stage, I have plenty of fuel left to burn right now.

I have not been to the track yet, the truck has been in the paint both for a couple weeks but should be out this week, and its the last weekend the track is open for the rest of the year. So maybe I can make a pass this weekend, I feel like the truck is a low 13 sec. truck as is.Just wondering on the NOS shot w/o chucking a rod through the block.

Thanks,
Jeremy

ask Unbroken he had just about the same setup and was spraying, not sure the jet sizes. His rods came out without NOS involved. Check out the NX progressive kit w/ boost controller.

Yeah I knew he chucked a rod, but I thought he was spraying and w/ 225's, I may have wrong info though.

i think unbroken had some valve float/ piston contact issues as well. I dont think enough people have blown the bottom ends of these motors apart for a more definate answer..like the 7.3s. Some people have held 600-700 on stock rods, others havent. i beleive Tadd did 700 or a hair over on number 2. What kind of boost/backpressures are you seeing. Id be willing to bet Innovative has a nos tune available to be easy on boost and timing.

I ran numerous sizes of injectors..from 250's down to the 190's that were in it when it broke.
Out of all of them...I liked the 190's the best.
I used a .082 jet in a single stage and had fuel to spare.
Just get your tunes adjusted for it by Eric...you'll want the shift points lowered to keep it off the rev limiter when it shifts.
Mine was trapping just over 110 mph with basically the same set-up you have. With your 4X4...that should be an easy mid 12 second pass.
